In 1991 my father gave me oil paints
and I started copying famous paintings
of the Itinerants Artists for my own pleasure.
I did not think about a career as an Artist back then.
At the beginning of my 11th year at school (last year),
I enrolled on the course for the Railway Institute,
although I never stopped my favorite hobby of painting.
Later on I realized that it was painting what I really wanted to do
and I entered the Art College only after half a year of studying in the Art School.

 

 

 

 

My level at that point was not very high,
but I had a great desire and interest to learn.
That is why I quickly and easily grasped everything I could
from the college and entered the Art Academy.
And even then the source for my inspiration and creative energy
was a little village located not far from Gomel,
where my grandparents lived.
There I made my first sketches.
Those places with amazing nature
and unrepeatable sense of rural life formed me as an Artist.
