Born in  1978 in Astrakhan. The childhood was in 80ies – Perestroika, Glasnost, Gorbachov,
but instead everything turn out into food stamps and huge lines in stores.
Then there was youth and romantic 90-ies. My first education was technical
but in the country when the industry was being killed no one needed young specialists.
I had to work as a loader, plumber, even a sailor, but the life was fun and in 1998 I entered Art School.
I liked the atmosphere of freedom in the art. For me after learning in the ideology school it was like a fresh air.
And it was the time of 90ies- peak of criminals, Chechen war.

In 2000 I entered the Astrakhan Art College named after Vlasov which a graduated with honor in 2005. 
Being a student I went beyond the limits and was looking for my own style and theme.
I tried academism with its love for details, impressionism with its freedom.
I tried each extreme. I tried laconic style and sharp lines of graphics and etching.
The most influence was made by the style of Modern in all its varieties –art nouveau, liberty, jugend.
I love Pre-Raphaelites. My works are eclectic but the time of Modern is gone.

 

I cannot tell what influences on me now if any, but now I am also interested in such far from art brands as anime, street-art, pinup, comics.
May be I simply want to make up what I did not have as a child.
 Saint-Petersburg, where I had to live for some time had a great influence on me -
its streets, boulevards, bridges and roofs, parks and gardens, white nights and absence of hot water.
The city in which the luxury of empire interwove with soviet life of shared apartments.
