“ I think that the art should give happiness, otherwise it is worthless.”
V. Polenov
“New painting is like a new world. The art should be aimed at developing of the best in a human,
that is why the most precious in it in the skills of expression.
I look up to the Old Masters as they approached the peak of the ideal in their art.
My goal is to reach this peak.
I embody my ideas in various genres.
Most of all I paint in classic realism because it brings joy and beauty for the soul.
Also, respecting and understating the contemporary art,
I make experiments in the conceptual painting.
My workshop is an island of Tranquility and Nobility in the rage world.
Speculating on the influence of Art, I have formed my own attitude to this.
“A man took some wheat, rubbed it, took out the grains,
ground them between two rocks into the dust, added some water creating some paste,
brought it to the fire and it became healthy food for his body.
A man looked at the nature, at its diversity, took it and chose different rocks,
they were grains of Nature, ground them into the dust, added some oil,
called it Art and it became healthy food for his soul.”
Art is healing. When we look at the painting,
our thoughts are concentrating on its beauty ad meaning,
and it is the source of the positive.
There is a strong connection - we see and try to understand the beautiful,
which fills our thoughts with the right, and positive thinking heals our body.
Art is the spiritual food for an individual.
I want to create a classic image of a contemporary person;
to learn through the art all the best we have;
I want to see the intelligence in the eyes of the art;
to see a companion in a painting; want to fill the painting with the qualities of a individual.
I want the painting to be a listener, friend and a teacher.
In our contemporary madness we applaud to each new destruction,
especially to the destruction of what we have not constructed.
To destroy is easier than to create.
Contemporary technologies are harmful for people, especially for artists.
We must be especially grateful to Old Masters,
who created an image of a wise,
healthy human and shoed us the right way to develop our artistic intellect.
My goal is to create, not to destroy.
As a human need a human, I want my works to converse with people;
the painting can be looked at and perceived, but one can find a companion in it as well.
The art should teach people to listen to each other and to intercommunicate in a right way.
The entire familiar to us art can be related to the “child”,
as only reaming a child one can paint pure and perfect artworks.
When in the museums I look at paintings of the artists from the past, I feel like a child:
my soul frolics with joy and like a child it wants to paint everything around,
paying inquisitive attention to the world which seems common;
like a child it looks at everything as something new and surprising.
When I understand that similar feeling can be aroused in a person by my art,
it becomes a great reward and stimulus for work.
