Clearance of the consciousness came to me when I, a three-year-old child,
was drawing circles in books and magazines with great inspiration.
Since then, having recognized the tool in my hand, I could not part with it for long.
My interest to drawing was growing. Impressions from movies were imprinted into children’s drawings,
which I had plenty at that time and the movie characters continued living on the paper.
Then I started studying the visual art from the TV show about Tretyakov Gallery, as I did not have an art teacher.
Then I tried copying paintings of Russian and foreign impressionists such as Korovin and Sisley in oil.

 

 

Upon finishing the school in Siberia, my parents sent me to study art to Saint-Petersburg.
I had not have and art school in my education; I was fully self-taught in art at the age of 17.
I managed to enter the painting and graphic department of Pedagogical University named after Herzen
and two year later I became a student of Academy of Art named after Repin.

At the art workshop I met my teachers V. Sokolov and V. Rednev.
They were keepers and followers of workmanship of B. Johansson, school of Russian impressionism.
The fundament of this school was created by V. Serova, K. Korovin, I. Levitan.
During my study, in spite of my interest in other art movements such as surrealism and analytical art,
I listened carefully to my teachers who taught me the truth for which I am grateful to them. 

 

 

After graduation I started to participate in exhibitions and hold my own personal ones.
Also, I became a member of Artists’ Union of Saint-Petersburg and started painting
and decorating churches in various cities.
This activity brought me respect and I have become a high-demand Artist.
I left my interest in avant-garde ant other movements in the past.
Now all my new works tend to be connected with the best traditions of Russian realism. 
Native lands, natural human beauty are main characters of my paintings.
