I was born in Likino-Dulevo, Moscow region.
I have been painting since childhood, dreamt to be not less famous than Repin.
Along with the school, I attended art studio and once among books
I found a small brochure with reproductions of Picasso, Modigliani, etc.
It was a shock for me, I could not understand why these “crooked” paintings are in the museums all over the world,
and trying to find any information about them I forgot about Repin.

Along with this I had another passion - wood carving.
In 1973 I entered Abramtsevo Art and Industry College, department of wood carving.
It was like another world where very interesting broad-minded people taught.

In 1977 I became a professional wood carver, but never forgot painting.
I wanted to find something sincere, my own without influence of my surroundings.
For years I had wanted to understand the movements of my hand when painting, what excites me.
I painted without thinking and then analyzed the results. 
I think that I have found myself, although the influence of some artists is noticeable.

In 1989 I was accepted to Orekhovo-Zuyevo Art Studio where I still work.
In 1993 I was invited to Germany and found out that people are interested in my paintings.
It was very important for me and since then I have been painting as much as I can.

In 1998 I became a member of Artists’ Union of Russia.

I do not have a certain style.
I do what I like and most of all I am inspired by music.
