«I am always on the road. Most of my works are painted in plain airs.
They give me the joy of human and creative interaction.
Working in plain air is not easy - sometimes one has to conquer the fortress on the rock
carrying behind a heavy burden and the whole day
trying to avoid the sun so as not to get burned and to transfer the piece of the fortress
bathing in poppies and bellflowers onto the canvas.
An in winter it is even worse – one gets frozen,
or the snow starts in the middle of the sketch
blocking the vision, but it is so hard to stop.
Surprisingly, the works created in the most extreme conditions,
are the most successful, perhaps because you are concentrated more than usual,
something goes out from inside and there is no time to think long.
You should work fast and precisely.

And when the sky threatens with the rain or the heat burns
and there is no opportunity to go far from the spot,
it is time to paint a still life with the gifts of the forest,
meadow and everything around.
And let the rain drizzle, there is always a friend near
who will cover you and the canvas with an umbrella.

I never put a task to copy the photographical look,
but always think about the future so that the result
would be a finished story about the place and time.
It is more important to reflect the mood, atmosphere,
state and my attitude to what I paint.

It is possible to paint the rustle of trees, wind and splash of water.
But for this you should penetrate into the depth of it,
to feel its physical structure and with the help of paints
to make the viewer feel the same.
Believe me, it is interesting but not easy.

Long live her majesty Art!
