 When I was a child, my favorite toys were brushes and pencils. 
My Dad, who was an Artist, gave me a little sketch box with which I went everywhere.
I could spend hours in the workshop drawing and painting.
I preferred paper, colored pencils or gouache at that time.
I went to the Art School in Kostroma, my favorite city where I was born and grew up.
Later after studying at Yaroslavl Art College,
I served in the military for two years.
Then there was Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.

 

 

“School is the wings, which the artist needs for free flight.” Ilia Glazunov said.
My wings grew and I began my flight.

 Since then I pay much attention to the painting from nature.
My favorite places are still Kostroma suburbs and Podmoskovie.
Besides this, I visited Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, and South India with my sketch box.

Years of study in the portrait workshop were not in vain.
I have painted portraits of famous contemporary people such as
Vladimir Putin, Ramzan Kadyrov, Patriarch Aleksiy II and Kirill as well as historical personalities such as
Mikhail Romaova, Alexander Suvorov, Yury Dolgorukiy, Catherine II, Nicolas I, Nicolas II and others.

 

Precious experience was gained when working with Artists
who decorated the Temple of Crist the Savior, Uspensky Cathedral in Dmitrov,
Temple of Seraphim of Sarov and New-Jerusalem Monastery.
This knowledge and experience I have been sharing
with my students at the art faculty at the Academy for 15 years.
And beyond the Academy there are master-classes, plain airs and exhibitions.

 

 Everything which goes on has it meaning and I keep thanking God for everything.
